Mix 107.5 "The High Plains Best Mix"

I was born in Morristown, NJ in '79. My family and I then moved to Los Alamos, NM where everyone glows in the dark, hehehe, just kidding. In '89 we all moved to London, England for a few years then moved back to Los Alamos where I graduated from High School in '98.

After High School I attended ENMU and went through many changes in my major until I finally made my final decision. Eventually I graduate with a BS in Broadcast Production in 2004. Before I graduated I gave birth to the most important person in my life, my son. He is now 3-years-old and keeps me on my toes, I'll tell you what.

Now a lot of people know me as DJ KC, a.k.a. KC Klein (the name I had before the Hip Hop Hizzie). I started working for Mix 107.5 in '01 and worked the nightshift. March of '05 I was handed the duties of running the Hip Hop Hizzie and thanks to the support of my loving fans I'm still around. The fans are the most important thing for my show, I like to know what they think and appreciate their advice.

What is the most exotic location you have actually been to?
Italy

What is the dumbest thing you remember doing as a kid?
Climbing to the top of a 20 ft tree to look at the scenery peaking over the top of the branches

What is your favorite dessert?
I don’t really eat dessert

Do you have any pets?
Draos- 4 year old Siberian Husky Pure Breed, has one blue eye and one brown eye, way to smart for her own good, most loving and best friend for my son and I, great pet. Sanora- 5 month old Husky Wolf Puppy, very much a puppy, she’s our cute little trouble maker that eats like a horse and tears everything up, we love her so much even with the puppy ways. 2 Goldfish- these are the oddest fish we have ever encountered, they are almost 6 inches long and they never stop growing that completely blows our minds. Help! Has anyone else seen monsterous fish like these before? How did we get such outrageous fish? Before we know it they’re going to take over the world!

What did you plan to be when you grew up?
Working in Film Production in Colorado or California editing major film productions.

Do you have any tattoos?
Not yet though I plan on getting a Marine Corps one in tribute of my Grandfather that served for 33 years and retired as a Colonel after proudly serving in WWII, Vietnam War, and the Korea War

Ever been scuba diving? sky diving? dumpster diving?
Just call me poor White Trash, Dumpster Diving it is, but it would be so fun to go scuba and sky diving

How'd you wind up living on the High Plains?
I attended and graduated from ENMU

What is your ultimate dream job? (other than being a DJ)

Sushi, oh man that stuff is sooooooo good

If you could visit one person that you haven’t seen since you were a kid, who would it be and why?
Kelly Howard, she was one of my best friends in elementary school and it would be great to see and catch up with her again

How do you feel about spinach dip?
That is some great stuff, just add a lot more spinach and artichoke and it would be perfect. Food… now I’m hungry

If you could be the personal masseuse for any celebrity, who would it be?
Johnny Depp, that guy is hot, and a talented actor
